<p>It&#8217;s <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/tv/angryboys/" target="_blank">finally</a> <a href="http://mono-blog.com/2011/01/angry-boys/" target="_blank">here</a>! <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Lilley_(comedian)" target="_blank">Chris Lilley</a>&#8217;s highly anticipated television series <em><a href="http://www.abc.net.au/tv/angryboys/" target="_blank">Angry Boys</a></em> made its world premiere television debut last Wednesday night on ABC TV Australia (with HBO and BBC to follow shortly). With<em> <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/tv/angryboys/about.htm" target="_blank">Angry Boys</a></em>, Lilley and his long-time producer, Laura Waters, resolved to take more chances. &#8220;There has to be some challenge with each series,&#8221; <a href="http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv-and-radio/comedy-thats-all-the-rage-20110506-1ebfh.html" target="_blank">Waters says</a>. &#8220;We need to feel like it&#8217;s impossible, or it&#8217;s not fun. We talked about taking everything to the next level.&#8221;</p>
<p>Writer/performer Chris Lilley is the chameleon of character invention and in <em><a href="http://www.abc.net.au/tv/angryboys/about.htm" target="_blank">Angry Boys</a></em> he brings to life six vastly different characters &#8211; identical twins Daniel and Nathan Sims, who appeared in <em><a href="http://www.abc.net.au/tv/heroes/" target="_blank">We Can Be Heroes</a></em>, are back. Joining the boys in the series are four new characters; former surfing world champion Blake Oakfield, a family man and founding member of a surfie gang &#8211; the Mucca Mad Boys; S.mouse a U.S. rapper famous for having produced the biggest selling hip-hop single of all time; Japanese mother Jen Okazaki, a shrewd businesswoman, she also manages her son&#8217;s skateboarding career; and Juvenile Justice Centre for Boys officer Ruth Sims, aka Gran. Prepare to be entertained!</p>

<p>Many Queenslanders and Victorians in Australia have been &#8216;<a href="http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/up_shit_creek" target="_blank">up shit creek</a>&#8216; quite literally ie &#8216;in dire circumstances&#8217; with the <a href="http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/floodrelief" target="_blank">recent widespread flooding</a>. You can help and get a cool tea towel in the mix! Our friends at <a href="http://thirddrawerdown.com/shop/product/TT064T/" target="_blank">Third Drawer Down</a> are donating half of the proceeds from their sales of <a href="http://www.uplandsgallery.com/artists/jon-campbell" target="_blank">Jon Campbell</a>&#8217;s <a href="http://thirddrawerdown.com/shop/product/TT064T/" target="_blank"><em>Up Shit Creek</em> tea towels</a> in January (today is the last day of January!) to support the <a href="http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html" target="_blank">Disaster Relief Appeal</a>. They are also donating $2.00 for every online sale in the month of January. If you would like to donate on your own, you can also do this right <a href="http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
