R.I.P. KING OF MOBS

The great James Gandolfini aka Tony Soprano died at the age of 51 from suffering a heart attack. He was most known for his outstanding performance in the HBO TV show The Sopranos – a must-see! Rest in peace.

SPIEGELNDE KULISSEN

Dear Friends,
I am happy to participate at the group exhibition Spiegelnde Kulissen where I will be showing the series Parallel Lines in the corporate environment of the ARD television headquarters in Berlin.
The exhibition at ARD Hauptstadtstudio presents four photographic positions that subtly comment on themes of recent political interest – energy politics, social networks, [...]

THERE’S MONEY IN THE BANANA STAND!

I can’t wait to hear that line again – if you haven’t watched Arrested Development from 2003 – 2006, now’s the time to catch up. After the show’s been cancelled for 7 years, new episodes are planned to be released in May by Netflix. Be warned: the first couple of episodes are tough, but they’re [...]

When a body is found on the bridge between Denmark and Sweden, right on the border, Danish inspector Martin Rohde and Swedish Saga Norén have share jurisdiction and work together to find the killer…

MY NAME IS BELL, STRINGER BELL

Always looking for excuses to google for high res images of Idris Elba. Today rumours emerged that the actor who famously played Stringer Bell in The Wire and was named “The most beautiful man in the world” is in negotiations to be the next James Bond – I’d say Barbara Broccoli has good taste.

OMAR IN SOUND

As you might have noticed, The Wire is a continuous source of inspiration and discussion among us, and we will keep you posted on our findings until someone does something about it sitting unchallenged on the throne of best TV series of all time. And didn’t you always want to know what music our beloved [...]

Triple Re-Up

Film buffs Diedrich Diedrichsen, Daniel Eschkötter, and Simon Rothöhler have done what you should’ve done a long time ago: they sat down to seriously reflect on what they saw on TV, and wrote a little something about the now-mainstream awesomeness of HBO or NBC classics such as The Wire (Eschkötter), The Sopranos (Diedrichsen) and The [...]

Yet another flattering glimpse into our office – alas, in German only.
