There are few secret swimming spots left in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. At the Noosa National Park if you’re adventurous you can find an ocean rock pool off the path and down the rocks on the way to Hell’s Gates. This ocean rock pool has a coral floor and fresh water flows in from the ocean and it feels like you’re swimming in a place straight out of a children’s adventure book. It used to be innocently signposted as ‘Fairy Pools’ several years ago but now what you get is the above sign warning you of death and serious injury! As a result though this place remains a secret for only those in the know. And if you’re in the know you’ll also know that it’s best to visit this place with friends on a sunny day at low tide so you don’t get washed out to sea!
