SHAKER LOOPS

For reasons that’ll become obvious soon-ish, there’s been a lot of classical music playing at the studio recently – one of my recent discoveries being the modern composer John Adams, whose music played a large part in our favourite film of 2010, I Am Love – for obvious reasons, obviously. BEAST’S REPRISE

Nice track, nice flick, nice everything: ladies and gentlemen, meet Mr. Lazer Sword, courtesy of Don Koi.

I WANT TO BE A GANGSTER IN YOUR TOWN

Totally rightly BROADWALK EMPIRE won Best Television Series / Drama at the Golden Globes. The pilot was directed by Martin Scorsese, Steve Buscemi is most brilliant and I’m happy to finally see The Wire’s Omar again in a worthy role – it’s a delight.

Leo and his Archive

One of the more fun activities one can engage in while doing art history is to dig through the incredible treasure trove that is the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art. From Aline and Eero Saarinen to Lucy R. Lippard, many of the most distinguished and engaging figures from the history of American modern and contemporary [...]

ANGRY BOYS

Chris Lilley will make his long-awaited return to television in 2011 with a new ABC comedy titled Angry Boys. After a short break over Christmas, Chris Lilley, the creative genius behind We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High is back filming his new 12-part series, Angry Boys – and here’s what he had to say:
“We’ve been [...]
