here & now

Now, with the Berlinale Film Festival upon us, one pretty face seems to pop up a lot these days, which belongs to the wondrous and wonderful Miranda July – who will, in turn, present her second feature film, The Future, for the first time in Europe next week in the competition of the Berlinale. In the meantime, a certain Mike Mills should have been presenting his highly personal new feature film Beginners, but I couldn’t find it in the programme – what I did find was a highly personal blog that he installed in the run-up to the release of the movie, which covers a lot of ground regarding inspiration, personal anecdotes and material for, about and relating to Beginners.
