Berlin is in art fever this weekend, with Thursday’s opening of the new and, how to put it, brave? Berlin biennial and three days of Gallery Weekend. So far and two days in, what I enjoyed most, weirdly, is Mark Borthwick’s little installation at the back of the new Comme des Garçons store, called Fountains of Ardor – a typical Borthwick-style collage setting of his photographs and polaroids, mingled with flowers, drawings and little poems. It’s sweet and refreshingly unpretentious, beautiful stuff.
