I was given an advanced copy of This Is How It Ends and was told that I had to read it. This novel was the sensation of The London Book Fair 2011. Despite the furore about this book in the publishing industry, This Is How It Ends is a quiet book, beautifully written, about some very big human issues and therein lies its charm. This Is How It Ends reminds you that life is unpredictable and that the simple things are to be enjoyed, whether it’s the pleasure of driving in your car with the music on, taking your dog for a walk on the beach, or going for a swim.
