It’s rare that we find emails saying, ‘You’re sooooo fashion!’ in our mailbox, but hey, it’s also not everyday that we share a face with a major fashion house – since weirdly enough, the venerable house of Saint Laurent just revealed their latest advertising campaign featuring no less than our current cover star Kim Gordon, alongside Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson and Ariel Pink, choosing their own favourites from the latest collection. Or maybe not so weird, considering Saint Laurent’s decidedly rock’n'roll outlook since being in the hands of Hedi Slimane, and considering Kim’s little offering on fashion in our current issue: ‘I find fashion advertising really interesting and I certainly like clothes. It’s an interesting dialogue.’ Anyway, let’s revel in that glorious moment, since we have a feeling Saint Laurent won’t be holding hands with California Grunge forever.
