The ever-productive musican/producer/artist/serial collaborator Brian Eno, has been in New York this week showing his 77 Million Paintings – one of his generative audio-visual artworks described as being somewhere “between music and painting” that generates itself as you watch it. Tickets to see the installation unfortunately are totally sold out but if you’re really desperate to get your Eno fix, you could always try admitting yourself to the Montefiore Hospital in Hove, where Eno has been recently commissioned to install a sound and light piece for the patients there. The idea is for the installation to be “somewhere to think, take stock or simply relax”, creating a “healing enviroment” that sounds a lot more inviting than the usual hospital mayhem (and also maybe the perfect antidote for a Monday morning…)
But for now, I’ll happily settle for something from his archives…
