Despite being in 21st century, unfortunately, certain misconceptions about women still linger in the air. As most of us know, one of the fields that is strongly male dominated is film industry. I remember a friend’s struggle, when she decided to be a DOP: “You cannot carry that camera, it is heavy.”
Recently, a long list of films by Cinema Fanatic made me aware that most of the stunning films such as Paris Is Burning (1990) or, say, The Night Porter (1974) are directed by women. Why don’t you pick a film by one of the amazing directors and cheer up your Sunday night?
