WHEN ANDY MET ADAM

kimmel_screentestWhile we’re generally skeptical when it comes to the often proclaimed but all too often superficial interaction between art and fashion, here’s a gesture that we like: Adam Kimmel, a New York-based menswear designer well worth watching, persuaded Gerard Malanga, Andy Warhol’s assistant in the 1960’s and an artist in his own right, to recreate Warhol’s infamous screen tests, in which he filmed unsuspecting stars and soon-to-be-stars simply holding still.
