DON’T MISS MISS FLOYER

cealfloyer_72dpiCeal Floyer’s first solo exhibition in Germany opens next Saturday, August 22, at 5 pm at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin (on view until October 18, 2009).

Ceal Floyer (born 1968) works in different media – her conceptual approach takes the form of works on paper, photographs, sound works, films and readymades. You probably know her from her stairway work Scale (2007) which was on view at the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin and with which she won the Nationalgalerie Prize for Young Art 2007, or her impressive work Overgrowth of 2004, a projection of an oversized bonsai tree, still on view at this year’s Venice Biennial.
