here & now

Two years ago we first introduced mono.kultur to the fine folks at Family LA and Ooga Booga. At the time, it was totally amazing to see what was happening at such places, and how these, well, book stores as well as other venues such as The Smell, Hope, etc functioned as cultural hubs for a whole new creative movement. Tonight, No Age, probably the best and biggest band belonging to that whole “DIY/post-2006 LA scene,” are going to play in Berlin for the first time. What’s more, it looks like there’s still a whole lot of good stuff happening in LA these days…
