So Paul the Octopus turned out to be right, and even the Spanish took a liking to ‘Pulpo Paul’ after he predicted the World Cup title for Spain. Spain’s prime minister Zapatero offered to send a protection team after death threats to the octopus for correctly predicting Germany’s defeat in the semi-finals. But there is hope: Paul says Germany will win the match for third place.
