Author Bret Easton Ellis lands in Berlin this week to give a reading of his new book Imperial Bedrooms, which is a sequel to his 1985 novel Less Than Zero.
Is his repetitive, brand-name-loaded prose more or less grating when read live? Are his characters, 25 years on, more or less obnoxious and unlovable? Is his playground setting – the hedonistic high-income post-Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Bush era – still culturally relevant?
Find out this Friday (October 1) when Ellis appears at the beautiful Admiralspalast to read from the book, accompanied by the actor Felix Goeser, who will read selected passages in German.
