Die Gestalten are on a roll these days, and I’m slowly reconsidering my preconceptions on the Berlin-based design publishing company. To make up for the embarrassing Los Logos Volume V (speaking of which, will someone at Gestalten finally redesign that logo, please?), they’ve persuaded our friend Mario Lombardo, who famously signed our issue with Cyprien Gaillard (and in his modesty actually really needed to be persuaded), to publish his first monograph on ten years or so of sensual graphic design – not such a common currency on these shores, to be honest. Congratulations Mario! The tender spot indeed.
