Magnum Photos has an interesting project in the works. Starting May 12th, they are sending five photographers (this time, Susan Meiselas, Jim Goldberg, Christopher Anderson, and our favorites, Alec Soth and Mikhael Subotzky) on the first of a series of road trips around America. Although the project site doesn’t yet have much information, Postcards From America’s concept – exploring new ways of picturing America – sounds pretty amazing. Starting in San Antonio, Texas, they’ll be stopping for a discussion at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas, Austin, of the US’s greatest archives of arts and culture, and will finish in San Francisco, with a pop-up exhibition at the wonderful Pier 24.
