For those of us fascinated about type, type design and typography masters, a new book just came out. I’ve had it in my hands once, few months ago, and couldn’t help but feel impatient for having to wait for it to be in shops! At the moment you can get it from Typotheque, as a print book or ebook. There you can also find a sample with one of the interviews.

From Typotheque: “This book presents eleven interviews with renowned type designers and writers, interviewed by students of Type Media postgraduate course in type design. The students choose personalities whose work is related to their final project, where subjects can vary from Diwani (an Ottoman style of Arabic calligraphy), to Latin script typefaces at various optical sizes, to concepts based on the national characteristics of type.

The book includes interviews with Ken Barber, Peter Bruhn, Christopher Burke, John Downer, René Knip, Radana Lencová, Martin Majoor, Jan MIddendorp, Alejandro Paul, Huda Smitshuijzen AbiFarès, and František Štorm.”
