It’s been 4 years since mono.kultur #11 featured American photographer David Lachapelle. That was 2007, two years after his documentary Rize came out and at the time he was seeking a clear break from his past as a commercial fashion and celebrity photographer. His style couldn’t have been more different than that of Ryan McGinley, the photographer that is featured in the current mono.kultur issue. This article in the New York Times of last week tells the story what Lachapelle’s been up to since and tells about the current projects the re-born artist works on all over the world.
