PALACE MUSIC

I truly love those rare moments when you are, say, at a bar or a friend’s house or maybe in a car somewhere, and you hear a track that will simply and without warning take your breath away – preferably by someone you have never had the pleasure of encountering before. Please meet Shabazz Palaces, who have just released their debut album Black Up. Amazing.

[...] Black Up by Shabazz Palaces was one of our favourite albums last year, so it comes as no surprise that we would be listening very closely when THEESatisfaction, the girls who pinned some of the female vocals on Black Up, come back on their own, with a slightly sweeter funk on their debut album Awe Naturale.
