MONO.KLUB #35: TARYN SIMON

Dear Friends,

with American photographer Taryn Simon just having opened her new and breathtaking exhibition A Living Man Declared Dead and Other Chapters at the venerable Neue Nationalgalerie, we really could not miss the opportunity to invite our cover star of issue #15 to share the many ideas and issues at heart of her latest series. It also served as a welcome excuse to finally reprint one of our favourite issues that has been long out of print, and since we like to do things properly, we will be launching it as an extended and special edition on the night.

Taryn Simon, in the meantime, will give a talk on her new work and the process behind it, followed by a Q&A hosted by Marc Glöde. And even better: the Neue Nationalgalerie kindly consented to host the talk in the foyer of their splendid premises, which will give you the opportunity to explore the wonderful exhibition not just in theory but in practice, until 22h. In short: what better way to spend a Thursday night, and we look forward to seeing you there.

All our best,
mono.kultur
