In contrast to the darkness that dominates Finnish winters, Helsinki Fresh will bring a bit of light, playfulness and quirkiness to Berlin this summer with their exhibition of 25 Finnish artists. Given the history of bold design created by our northern neighbors, this will be an interesting opportunity to get a glimpse of what the new, fresh talents have to offer. In addition to Finnish design, fashion, photography and illustration that will be exhibited between June and July, Helsinki Fresh will host a conceptual design workshop as well as well as other events. They will also be throwing a traditional midsummer party the 22nd of June. All of this happens at the beautiful Direktorenhaus in Berlin. During the opening, tomorrow from 9 p.m., there will be the chance to meet the designers, see live performances and who knows- maybe even taste some northern cloudberries…
