Sometimes we’re surprised where readers write to us from – really, you live in Siberia and have heard of mono.kultur? One of those pleasant moments was when magazine retailer Mag Nation sent us a little brochure they printed with their personal recommendations, with our issue on Chris Ware pretty much right at the beginning. Australia is amazingly well stocked with titles from all over the world, but New Zealand is a different matter – or was, we should say, since Mag Nation, located both in NZ and OZ, have one of the best stock lists in the world, ranging from mainstream titles to independent publishing projects. It’s as simple as that – it just needs someone to do it.
