Whenever the conversation turns to Jerry Seinfeld, I usually go quiet. See, I really don’t understand Seinfeld, I simply don’t find him funny – a revelation which most people in turn fail to comprehend and tend to find most baffling. Hours of discussions ensue, whereas I don’t even want to talk about the guy, and the evening is ruined.
So, the good thing is, from now on, whenever the conversation turns to Jerry Seinfeld, I can go, ‘Oh yes! I love his new series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee!’ Because in fact I do, since it features genuinely funny people like Larry David, Ricky Gervais and Alec Baldwin, so I’m totally fine with that. And that guy behind the steering wheel who always cracks up at any and every line? Well, just ignore him.
