TUESDAY MUSIC: GRIZZLY BEAR

When we released our glorious (can we say that without sounding preposterous? Maybe just this once…) issue with Chris Taylor of mighty Grizzly Bear almost exactly one year ago, he mentioned how nice it was to be in the studio again with his friends to work on the follow-up of their successful Veckatimest. Fast forward to now, and their new opus Shields has just seen the light of day, and an addictive gem of a record it turned out to be. Rougher around the edges than their previous albums, it is still unmistakably Grizzly Bear in all their wonderful unpredictability.
