Force Majeure (or Turist, which is its original title) is the latest film of Ruben Östlund; director of previous films such as Play and Involuntary. Force Majeure examines the consequences of a father’s decision to run for his life and leave his family behind when nature comes crashing in at a ski resort in the alps. Ruben Östlund’s rather confrontational films often lead to discussions and this one doesn’t seem to be an exception. The film received the jury prize of Cannes’ Un Certain Regard and will now be screened in theaters internationally.
