BALLET GOES NOISE

Our all time favorite noise-heroine Kim Gordon had an interesting collaboration last year, when she was commissioned to compose music for a ballet initiated by artist Nick Mauss. Inversions was first performed at Frieze Projects 2014, now the audio is to receive a limited edition vinyl release. Exclaim reports that Music for Inversions: A Live Ballet by Nick Mauss will come as an editions of 250 copies, each of which will feature silk-screened cover art by Mauss. A release date has not been announced yet, but you can pre-order the record by contacting 303 Gallery.

In related news, Gordon is currently showing work in her exhibition titled “Design Office: The City Is a Garden” at New York’s 303 Gallery, which is on view until July 24.
