Not only did fashion label Calvin Klein under the creative direction of Francisco Costa present one of the best collections so far for Autumn / Winter 2010, they also broke with one of the unwritten rules of the fashion industry: for some bizarre reason, the music for the biannual fashion shows is firmly in the hands of a ‘cartel’ of two, three producers who supervise the sound for all catwalks of New York, Milan, London and Paris. Francisco Costa however commissioned Carsten Nicolai to create the sound and visuals for the elegant minimalism of his new collection, leaving you wondering why so few designers use the opportunity to make the most out of their presentations. [Thanks, Yosuke]
