I always imagined promotion and press tours for your new film/record/book to be dull and draining exercises, but the way Miranda July chronicles her efforts to promote her second film on her very lively blog these days gives you the impression that in fact it’s something fun and magical. Or maybe life really does depend on how you look at it?
It also does this weird thing that when you navigate away from the site and then come back, all videos previously watched will start off again simultaneously, in a supersonic July kind of way. (What does she do with the pillows, though? Does she nick them from the hotels, or leave them as a sort of unasked-for souvenir, in a kind of classic popstar/hotel-vandalism tradition? Will they be displayed in a Hard Rock Café near you in The Future?)
