Bangalore Goes Boom

Almost three dozen DIY ramp builders, pro skateboarders, journalists, and cinematographers from all over the world traveled to Bangalore, India earlier this spring to support the local skate advocacy collective HolyStoked in making true what they’d been dreaming of for the longest time: to build the first free public skatepark for the Republic’s growing skateboard community. Yet, the story’s only just begun, and now everyone can help by donating a used board (or other things) to skaters in India: Coming to Berlin’s Civilist store this Saturday, there’s going to be a tuk-tuk responsible for collecting the board donations, plus, of course you’ll find: free booze, free burgers, a photo exhibition and film screening. Anyone else got an old one lying around?
