MONO.KLUB #43: RICARDO BOFILL

Dear Friends,

this Friday will see a little sneaky sneak preview in Venice of our new issue mono.kultur #36, dedicated to Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill. With the venerable Biennale Architettura di Venezia opening this week, curated by Rem Koolhaas around the theme of Fundamentals, Ricardo Bofill’s studio Taller de Arquitectura will be exhibiting in the Spanish Pavilion as well as at the offsite group exhibition Time Space Existence at Palazzo Bembo.

Which seemed a suitably grand environment to unveil our new issue on an architect leaning decidedly towards the grand side of things. So if in Venice, please join curator Carson Chan in conversation with Bofill’s son Ricardo E. Bofill – and that’s a whole other story we’re looking forward to getting into – discussing five decades of designing the future, past and present.
