THE LITTLE THINGS

Every moment is worth capturing, according to Martin Adolfsson, Daniel J Wilson, and Kevin Siwoff’s smartphone project minutiae. You download an app that notifies all participants  several times a day simultaneously for 3.9 years. Once you get the notification, you take a photo of something around you at the moment–or not. An pithy metonymy of internet culture, minutiae captures the tension between the addictive demands of mobile media and obsessive documentation. The team will release limited archives of all photos taken from the app at the projects’ end, which fittingly are on pre-sale.
